My Demographic

Here's a couple of thoughts.
The Daily show’s core audience (73 percent) is the coveted 18-to-49 demographic. And here's some cheering news: More people (4 million) tune in to The Daily Show in a given week than watched Fox news at the height of the war (3.3 million). I obviously fit in this demographic and I still have a hard time figuring out exactly why I watch it. I have a couple thoughts on this.
When television was introduced anything was broadcast was considered facts. People gazed like into the television like Jesus himself wrote the script. People of our generation are completely insensitive to a lot of what we see on Television where not easily duped and we’ll find the information ourselves if need be.
College age kids won’t be spoon fed by the television like their predecessors. The mixture of real news with biting issues coupled with a proactive comedian has struck a discerning note among the 18-49 age group. The scripted nature of past debates has nullified their usefulness. In writing this I really answered my own question, I know why I like to watch the daily show. Going on the daily show is almost impossible to prepare for. It puts the most well versed candidates in a vulnerable position where glimpses of personality really come out. Not the façade built by their PR team.

a side note
I had no computer acces In NY, NY. I would have had a good time if the pilot in the Janky private plane didn't get me sick with whatever she had. I was so mad I had a fever the whole time I was there. I took maybe four photos the whole time I was there(till the 8th) I got sick(er) when I had to go through the hot subway that was (and still are) completely rank The plane was as big as a metro (geo) with wings.
