This is reminiscent of some of the elements included in LT. I like the overall presentation, but I think that LT has a lot of these concpets expanded out in more interesting ways.
Maybe we could take some inspiration for some of the techinical aspects of the site - primarily the flipbook and possibly even the diary.
jon - yep - i recognized a lot of the elments from lt - that's what i thought was cool - but they just did it for one story
good point about taking inspiration - it shows the technology is definitely available for us to build on and people are thinking about how to package in new ways - at least we shouldn't have to do a hard sell on the cool look and fell
The comment about not having the text of the article be what your entire load page is is a plus for us - you only get tidbits of the article and you see other elements. That's good news for us.
